Heaven?

So many religions teach wrongly that we are to "do good" so we can "go to heaven". Nowhere in the Bible does it actually say this. There is not one verse that says we are to "go to heaven". "No one has ever gone into heaven except the one who came from heaven - the Son of Man," Jesus told us in John 3:13.

In fact, heaven is going to come to Earth! "May your Kingdom come soon. May your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven." Matt 6:10. Heaven is where God's throne is.

Yes, there is a "paradise" that those people who have died "in Christ" are to be but our final destination is Earth united with God's Heaven - the restoration of the Kingdom.

Repent and make Jesus the King of your life so that you may be part of His Kingdom now and when He returns.

What we have to look forward to is the resurrection or changing into a new spiritual body at the return of Jesus and the merging of heaven with earth.

Tithing - Is it a requirement?

A Tithe = a tenth. Although Jesus makes a reference to the tithe of the priests (Matthew 23:23), the tithe is only mentioned in detail in the Old Testament. Never is any reference to a tithe made in relation to the Christian believer under the New Covenant. A tithe is first mentioned when Abram gave a tenth of his spoils of war to a Melchizedek, a Priest-King of righteousness and peace. This was a one-off offering given without pressure or commandment. These were not his own possessions, increase or earnings but plunder taken from others (Heb 7:4). In fact, Abram also returned the rest of the spoils back to the Kings he took them from so that they could not say that they had made him rich. Jacob also volunteered a tenth of all God gave to him. Both Jacobs and Abrams's gifts of a tithe were voluntary and never commanded or compelled by God or anyone else. There were 4 main tithe laws in the Old Testament: A tithe to the Levites as their inheritance as they had no land allocated to ...

The Bible - Handbook to Life

Not only that but it gives you all the answers to where you came from, why everything happens in the world and what happens to you in the next world. In this brief article, I will show you why it is the only authority to be trusted, how it can be used to test and prove all things and how the Bible can change your life forever. Take hold of your Bible, your handbook to life, and follow me through as we take a look at it together. What is the Bible? The Bible is not one book, it is a collection of 66 books and letters. These books were written by different authors over a period of at least 1,400 years. However, all these books tie together and provide one central message, the Kingdom of God and your part in it. Without going into too much technical detail, the books in our Bibles were translated from ancient manuscripts. You can view a complete list of versions a...

It is believed that the rapture is when the saints that are still alive just before the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, will be taken up to heaven. In this article, we look at this doctrine and find out when is the rapture to take place. We shall examine scripture for the rapture and come to a conclusive answer taken only from God's Truth - His Word, inspired by the Holy Spirit. Before we look into this in detail keep in mind: This belief is NOT a requirement for salvation. What is the rapture? Many churches and ministers teach that there will be a rapture (delivery) of the saints at the end time before the tribulation. It is actually now a very popular belief and a hope looked for before the “Anti-Christ” and the Devil cause havoc on Earth. Let’s examine where this belief comes from and examine the scriptures. The doctrine of a "pre-tribulation rapture" suggests that believers will be ta...
