Pride - the False God

The people celebrating "pride" week or month fall into one of two categories especially as the pride they speak of is in their choice to lust after unnatural desires. We pray the Holy Spirit guides them off this path.

Pride is all about self-centredness. At one end of pride, we have arrogance and think we are better than others or want to be the centre of attention. At the other end is low self-esteem. Yes, if you think you are lower than everyone else, you are still self-focused.

By pride comes nothing but strife (Prov 13:10). There is no room for pride in the heart of real love as love is not proud (1 Cori 13:4) and God is love (1 John 4:7-8). Therefore there is no room for God in pride as pride centres on self, not Him.

And believe God's Word when He says He hates the type of pride being promoted using a perverted version of His symbol of the rainbow. God hates pride and arrogance (Prov 8:13, 16:5) and pride leads to shame and destruction (Prov 11:2).

Therefore let us not be part of pride but be humble, turn away from pride and self-centredness and be God-centred (this is the meaning of repentance) and thank God for all He gives us, does for us and does through us.

The time has come to choose which Kingdom you will be in - this world and its lust of the flesh and pride that leads to death or God's Kingdom soon to come and renew the Earth and life everlasting. 1 John 2:16-17

The Bible - Handbook to Life

Some say that life didn’t come with a manual but it did. The Holy Bible is your handbook to life from beginning to end. Not only that but it gives you all the answers to where you came from, why everything happens in the world and what happens to you in the next world. In this brief article, I will show you why it is the only authority to be trusted, how it can be used to test and prove all things and how the Bible can change your life forever. Take hold of your Bible, your handbook to life, and follow me through as we take a look at it together. What is the Bible? The Bible is not one book, it is a collection of 66 books and letters. These books were written by different authors over a period of at least 1,400 years. However, all these books tie together and provide one central message, the Kingdom of God and your part in it. Without going into too much technical detail, the books in our Bibles were translated from ancient manuscripts. You can view a complete list of versions and h

Tithing - Is it a requirement?

A Tithe = a tenth. Although Jesus makes a reference to the tithe of the priests (Matthew 23:23), the tithe is only mentioned in detail in the Old Testament. Never is any reference to a tithe made in relation to the Christian believer under the New Covenant. A tithe is first mentioned when Abram gave a tenth of his spoils of war to a Melchizedek, a Priest-King of righteousness and peace. This was a one-off offering given without pressure or commandment. These were not his own possessions, increase or earnings but plunder taken from others (Heb 7:4). In fact, Abram also returned the rest of the spoils back to the Kings he took them from so that they could not say that they had made him rich. Jacob also volunteered a tenth of all God gave to him. Both Jacobs and Abrams's gifts of a tithe were voluntary and never commanded or compelled by God or anyone else. There were 4 main tithe laws in the Old Testament: A tithe to the Levites as their inheritance as they had no land allocated to

The Gospel - Explained

The Gospel is a central message in Christianity and in fact, the whole Bible. Understanding its meaning is essential for anyone seeking to know God and follow Jesus. In this short guide of The Gospel - Explained, we will explore what the gospel is. You will discover its most basic definition and its message using quotes from the scripture that Jesus and the apostles would have used and the records from them in the New Testament. Above all, this page will be a witness to you. “And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.” Matt 24:14 Definition: What is the Gospel? The word "gospel" comes from the Old English word "Godspell," which means "good news." The Gospel refers to the salvation that God offers to humanity through Jesus Christ. The Gospel is the proclamation of the good news of the coming Kingdom of God and that Jesus, the Son of God, has come to reconcile sinners to God t
